Brand new dating show needs single people that are very flirty dancers

Paul Moore

Know anyone that fits the bill?

While some people are able to flirt up a storm and charm anyone with their words, other people let their feet do the talking.

If you – or any of your mates – happen to be a single person that’s a ‘Smooth Criminal’ on the dancefloor while bringing ‘Sexy Back’ in a bid to ‘Get Lucky,’ Channel 4’s new dating show should be music to your ears.

Flirty Dancing is a new five-part series, which sees self-confessed romantic Ashley Banjo, play cupid using his expert skills as a choreographer to bring people together through the art of dance.

As stated on the official synopsis:

“Before each unique date, the show will take two complete strangers and teach them one half of a fully choreographed dance routine which has been cleverly tailored to illustrate their personalities and what they want from a prospective partner. The singles will learn their routine separately so that the first time they meet their match will be a first date like no other. Set on location, as if they’re living in a Hollywood musical, there will be no talking, just a few intense and physical minutes of an ardently choreographed pas de deux. Once our couples have completed their dance date, they will part still not yet having spoken a word to each other. But did sparks fly on the dancefloor? Will they want to see each other again or was that their last dance?”

Hell, this sounds like the exact same way that Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper’s characters fell in love during Silver Linings Playbook so maybe it could work for the rest of you singletons?

Sarah Lazenby, Commissioning Editor for Factual Entertainment at Channel 4 said that Flirty Dancing was: “Inspired by the evocative atmosphere of La La Land, we want to recapture the magic and romance of the dancehall days when you could be swept off your feet rather than being swept left or right. We are delighted that Ashley Banjo is coming to Channel 4 with this warm and charming series that sees couples brought together through the art of dance.”

Now all you need to think about is the perfect song that makes you get all flirty on the dancefloor.

J-Law opted for Fell in Love With a Girl by The White Stripes. Can you do better?

Best of luck with the applications.
