If they play this in Croke Park, be ready.
For all the love Coldplay get, they get a lot of hate also. The four-piece are heading to Dublin on Saturday and if you are a Coldplay lover, we have some great news for you.
The band have dropped a brand new single ahead of their Irish show in Croke Park and have even created a lyric video to match.
Famous music maestro, Brian Eno, helped Chris Martin and the boys out with this one and is both a co-writer and co-producer on the fresh track.
The song has the distinctive Coldplay sound and the video captures your attention for its entirety which is something that is hard to say about any lyric video.
Proceeds from the song will benefit Migrant Offshore Aid Station (MOAS), which is an international NGO that rescues migrants and refugees distressed at sea in the Mediterranean.
The deep, meaningful song lyrics reflect the worry and hurt that the migrants and refugees they are singing for, might be going through.
Martin talks about “moving in the dead of night” and explains that “we were just about to lose our home.”
However, despite the heartache and despair, the band offer a glimmer of hope with the lyrics “If you want to/ Hold me, hold me tight” as they long “to get home again,”
Aliens can be downloaded on 14 July and will be followed by a CD and vinyl release on 4 August.
