Dancing On Ice viewers upset about ‘fix’ during last night’s final

If we can't believe in our favourite pseudo-celebrity televised ice-skating competition then what integrity is there left in this world?

Jake Quickenden might have emerged the winner, but viewers weren’t happy about one aspect of Brooke’s performance.

Former X-Factor contestant who I had to google, Jake Quickenden and professional skater Vanessa Bauer, took home the winner’s trophy in the Dancing on Ice series finale last night and apparently it was well deserved.

The tempestuous Dancing on Ice audience were, however, not best pleased by another aspect of the show and took to social media to highlight what they believed was match-fixing from the producers. Very, very serious allegations. If we can’t believe in our favourite pseudo-celebrity televised ice-skating competition, that what integrity is there left in this world?

The viewers were far more observant than the showrunners were counting on, quickly spotting the fact that Brooke Vincent was joined by only two backing dancers, whilst the men she was competing against had several professionals performing with them throughout all their routines.

Fans think that this was done on purpose to make the Coronation Street actress (googled it) look better than she actually was. They also pointed out the fact that she was getting lifted up during most of her performances, minimising the amount of actual ice skating she had to do. Which, you know, is quite important in an ice skating competition. Some say it might even be the most important thing.

Thankfully though, the meddling TV barons couldn’t pull the wool over the eyes of our diligent public. They quickly saw through the ploy and crowned their rightful winner.

We can now once again sleep at night knowing Jake Quickenden is our true king of the ice and a monumental injustice has been quashed. Now, and only now, we know the happy ending, we can look at the tweets. Feel the rage. Take it on aboard and then breathe it out.

Go about your day. Get something nice for lunch. You’ll forget all about it, I promise.
