Nice try, but don’t give up the day job, doc…
Dave Grohl seems to have nailed down the title as the nicest guy in music with various deeds over the years and he was at it again in Boston over the weekend.
Grohl, whose leg is still wrapped up in a protective boot after he broke it during a recent gig in Sweden, was performing with the Foo Fighters in Boston’s Fenway Park on Sunday night.
Grohl’s doctor, Dr. Lew C. Schon, was in the area to check up on his famous patient.
Having heard that Schon has a musical background (he’s in a band called The Stimulators apparently), Grohl invited him up on stage to sing the White Stripes’ Seven Nation Army in front of a packed audience.
He certainly got into the mood of the occasion anyway and his singing was…okay.
“Holy sh*t, that’s actually my doctor. What a badass,” roared Grohl afterwards to mass approval from the Fenway crowd.
Mild-mannered, middle-aged doctors singing on stage with a frontman who has to sit down for the duration of every gig these days because of a broken leg.
It doesn’t get more rock n’ roll than that.
