Lieutenant Eric Fields is actually a police officer – though he could definitely make some money on the side as The Rock’s body double
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has responded to an image of a police officer who could easily be mistaken for the Hollywood superstar.
Lieutenant Eric Fields of Alabama’s Morgan County Sheriff’s department told AL.com that he has been called “The Rock and Vin Diesel’s love child”.
The 37-year-old added: “I go along with it. It’s humours. It’s flattering. It could be worse people, I guess.”
Now, the Jungle Cruise actor has responded.
“Oh shit! Wow. Guy on the left is way cooler,” Johnson Tweeted in reply to a side-by-side shot of the pair.
Oh shit! Wow.
Guy on the left is way cooler.
Stay safe brother and thank you for your service. One day we’ll drink @Teremana and I need to hear all your “Rock stories” because I KNOW you got ‘em 😂😈👊🏾🥃 #ericfields https://t.co/G38tOr68cW— Dwayne Johnson (@TheRock) August 31, 2021
“Stay safe brother and thank you for your service. One day we’ll drink @Teremana and I need to hear all your ‘Rock stories’ because I KNOW you got ‘em,” Johnson continued, plugging his own Tequila brand.
On Twitter, users continue to be astounded by the similarities.
“Wait so this isn’t actually just you?” writes one Twitter user.
“My wife ignores many traffic laws when driving through Morgan County in hopes of being pulled over by this guy,” writes another.
The Morgan County Sheriff’s department revealed that a Walmart employee had even asked to have his photo taken with Fields because of his similarity to The Rock.
The sheriff’s office wrote: “This gentleman recently ran into Sgt Mason and informed him he wanted to meet our Deputy that people say looks like ‘The Rock’.
“Sgt Mason passed that along and Lieutenant Fields was happy to swing by the Hartselle Walmart to see him. Tyler is one of their many hard workers and it was great to meet him and some of his coworkers!”
