‘No sex please, we’re British’.
Even though Game of Thrones is packed with pretty much every kind of sex and nudity you can think of, one of the stars isn’t a huge fan.
Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen, says she hates doing the on-screen sex scenes.
“Sex scenes should be more subtle,” she told The Daily Mail. “I’m British, so I cringe at that sort of thing anyway — I can’t stand it.”
The 28-year-old isn’t a stranger to getting her clothes off on the show – remember when she emerged naked from that fire with those dragon eggs?
But despite the show’s rampant nudity and sex, Clarke has a different view: “I don’t want to have sex thrown in my face and I’ve always thought the suggestion is so much more titillating than the act itself.
“Most sex scenes you see in films or on TV are gratuitous and they’re usually just to attract an audience.”
