The other side of the law to Walter White
After many years of plugging away at his trade in supporting roles, Bryan Cranston finally found fame by starring as a stressed day driven to madness.
But enough about Malcolm In The Middle.
Oh, and he also starred in a show called Breaking bad. You might have heard of it.
After Cranston finished Walter White’s saga, movie stardom has beckoned. And one of his most notable lead performances has just been added to Netflix.
In The Infiltrator, he plays real-life U.S. Customs Service special agent Robert Mazur, who helped bring down Pablo Escobar’s money-laundering operation.
Mazur went undercover as a corrupt businessman “Bob Musella”, and became a pivotal player for the drug cartels, moving around dirty cash.
It is a proper old-fashioned crime epic, with twists and turns, and anchored by a great performance from Cranston.
Diane Kruger, Benjamin Bratt, John Leguizamo and Amy Ryan all appear in supporting roles.
