Not quite the work of the Many-Faced God but still…
Game of Thrones received a staggering 23 Emmy nominations this year as the HBO production cemented its status as the world’s most beloved TV show.
While Kit Harington and Maisie Williams both earned their first nominations in the Supporting Actor and Actress categories, they were also joined by Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey and Emilia Clarke, who are repeat nominees.
A show like Game of Thrones has such a massive scale with various departments involved, but any makeup artist that can make people react like this is certainly worthy of an accolade. We’re happy to say that the GOT makeup department deservedly picked up two nominations in the makeup category.
Throughout Season six, Arya (Maisie Williams) had some incredible battles with The Waif (Faye Marsay) in what had been dubbed the ‘Braavosi Fight Club’. Marsay accompanied her fellow Game of Thrones cast members to Comic-Con and fans of the show were amazed to see how remarkably different she looks in real life.
She certainly wasn’t faceless as quite a lot of people noticed the difference.
