Kendrick Lamar says that his work should be compared with the most important names in the history of music.
The 28-year-old rapper told NME: “I wanted this record to be talked about the same was Bob Dylan or The Beatles or Jimi Hendrix are talked about.
While his latest album ‘To Pimp A Butterfly’ has received widespread critical acclaim, not everybody agrees about its legacy.
Paul McCartney recently said that he does not believe that anyone will ever compare to the Beatles.
But Lamar remains confident, saying: “When my time has come, I want it to live longer than me, for the grandkids and their kids.”
