We’re not sure who he means…
The actors in Game of Thrones must be fairly familiar with the ins and outs of politics, given the nature of the show that they work on.
None more so than the King of the North, Jon Snow himself, Kit Harington.
Harrington has worked on a show that examines the deeper roots of politics for the better part of 10 years, so it’s only fair to assume that he knows a thing or two.
And in a recent interview with Variety, he explained exactly what his thoughts on the show’s politics and the politics of the real world were. Hint: he didn’t think they were that different.
Harington said: “I think it was a story about power. And of course, we’re gonna see echoes of that in the world we live in. And God, the world has changed since we started the show, and yeah we’ve found a Joffrey at the head of one of the most powerful countries in the world.”
In the same interview, he also discussed his thoughts on leaving the show for good, and the role of women in GoT. Take a look here:

We won’t go throwing words in Harrington’s mouths, lest we take a sword to the heart, but we have a fairly good idea who he means.
The hair could be a clue…
This isn’t the first time that Harrington has made this sort of comparison either.
In a recent interview with Stephen Colbert, the actor said: “I’ve got this theory we kind of screwed the political landscape. I just felt that certain political figures tried to emulate Joffrey, and things went a little bit wrong.”
