Now, this is a cracking idea.
The birthday boy announced on October 16 that he had wrapped production on his latest film Spirited. Following the film’s wrap, Reynolds said he is taking a break from the big screen.
“That’s a wrap for me on Spirited. Not sure I’d have been ready to say yes to a film this challenging even three years ago,” said Reynolds via Instagram.
“Singing, dancing and playing in the sandbox with Will Ferrell made a whole lotta dreams come true. And this is my second film with the great @octaviaspencer.”
He added, “Perfect time for a little sabbatical from movie making. I’m gonna miss every second working with this obscenely gifted group of creators and artists. These days, kindness matters as much as talent. I’ve been lucky to work with folks who are flush with both.”
His wife, the iconic Blake Lively, continued their long history of trolling in the comments. She wrote, “Michael Caine did it first.” This subtle dig is in relation to Caine’s announcement that he hadn’t retired, despite what the press were claiming.
