The exact circumstances of his death have not yet been confirmed
Pasha Lee, a Ukrainian actor who had starred as a voice actor on dubbed versions of The Lion King and The Hobbit, has died whilst fighting for his country at the age of just 33.
Lee enlisted in the Territorial Defence Forces last week to help defend his country against the Russian invasion. He was reportedly killed after Russian troops shelled the city of Irpin on Sunday (March 6).
His death was announced by the Odessa International Film Festival on Facebook and later confirmed by local news channel TSN.

He had starred in a number of Ukrainian films including Meeting Of Classmates (2019), Selfie Party (2016) and Zvychayna Sprava (2012), and was a voiceover actor who worked on the dubbed Ukrainian versions of major films such as The Lion King and The Hobbit.

In one of his final Instagram posts, he wrote: “For the last 48 hours there is an opportunity to sit down and take a picture of how we are being bombed, and we are smiling, because we will manage and everything will be UKRAINE… WE ARE WORKING!!!”
He had recently been working as a TV presenter for DOM, a bilingual channel established by the Ukrainian Culture Ministry in 2020 that broadcast in the occupied Donbas region. His final role was in the 2021 TV drama series, Provincial.
He is believed to have been on the front lines in Irpin on Sunday, when the city came under heavy bombardment from Russian artillery.
Fellow Ukrainian actor Anastasiya Kasilova paid tribute to Lee on Facebook, writing: “He is an actor, TV presenter, my colleague and a good acquaintance… Never forgive!”
