While we know most JOE readers probably aren’t avid viewers of daytime TV, we’re pretty sure that each and every one of you knows damn well who Lorraine Kelly is.
Over the last couple of decades, she’s been an ever-present on ITV, appearing on GMTV, Daybreak and (more recently) the imaginatively named Lorraine show, which usually kicks off at around 8.30.
Well liked for being her friendly, Scottish self, Lorraine found herself trending on Wednesday morning, all because of a reply she sent to a viewer’s tweet.
A concerned Victoria Norris (whose Twitter bio claims she works for the BBC) took the time out of her day to point out that the onscreen clock which featured on the 57-year-old’s show was a whole one hour out. How helpful.
Seeing the tweet, Lorraine pointed out in her response that the clock was in fact showing the correct time when her show was broadcast and the fact that Victoria had been watching ITV’s +1 channel accounted for the difference.
You might think that this sort of thing might’ve crossed poor Victoria’s mind at some point in between noticing the difference in time and hitting send on the tweet, but obviously not. We’re sure she’s not the first to make this mistake, and probably won’t be the last.
Anyway, plenty appeared to enjoy Lorraine’s reply – which clocked up in excess of 1,000 retweets.
