Well played J.K.
If you’re going to enter into a war of words with someone, you’re probably better off not doing so with somebody who has sold hundreds of millions of books worldwide.
Author Kevin Williamson learned that to his cost on Wednesday evening after bad-mouthing J.K. Rowling on Twitter this evening, which earned the following response.
@NatalieMcGarry why apologise to her. She uses her obscene wealth & lawyer droids to threaten & bully. Tell the radge to bolt.

They see me Rowlin'
They hatin' https://t.co/dfiqou7vpD— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) February 17, 2016
The original tweet that prompted the comment from Williamson was from Natalie McGarry, a politician who was threatened with legal action by Rowling over a Twitter spat in which she claimed Rowling supported misogynist Twitter trolls.
McGarry was referring to previous tweets exchanged by Rowling and an account named Brian Spanner QC, from which controversial and sexist tweets have been posted in the past.
.@NatalieMcGarry I'd love an explanation of this accusation, Natalie. pic.twitter.com/Yh6VvLz285

.@NatalieMcGarry You are a politician making a public accusation. Show me where I have defended abusive, misogynist trolling.

.@NatalieMcGarry You aren't some random hater, Natalie. You're an elected politician and you've accused me of supporting abuse and misogyny.
