Daniel Portman, who plays the beloved Podrick Payne in Game of Thrones, gave a recent interview with AAP where he had some interesting views on how the series will end.

While he couldn’t reveal anything concrete for the next season as he’s bound to secrecy, he does give his two cents on the conclusion.

“I don’t think there’s going to be a throne,” Portman told AAP in Sydney.

“I think the smartest thing to do is get rid of that and everybody runs their own little part, and Daenerys is the prime minister.”

He went onto discuss how the whole series could become a model for a “socialist utopia” and influence the entire world.

“Maybe people could look at Game of Thrones and go ‘no dragons, but maybe we’ll melt down all these thrones and get rid of the monarchy and start doing real work’,” he said.

While all of the above must be taken with a pinch of salt, Portman did reveal how he would like Pod to die in the series.

“In a brothel …. from sexual exhaustion,” he said.

Now that we’ve that out of the way, we’re going to take a look at Samuel L. Jackson narrating Game of Thrones, it’s bloody brilliant.
