“So good to be back!”
Amazon’s The Boys was one of the most talked-about TV hits of 2020.
The second season of the show saw the comic book adaptation hit new heights, building on the exciting-but-shaky first year to become something really special.
Unsurprisingly, a third season is on its way, and star Karl Urban has shared the first image of his character Butcher from new series.

“Shooting @theboystv season 3′” wrote Urban in the caption. “So good to be back!”
“Massive thanks to all those at @amazonprimevideo, @sptv , @theboystv production and our crew who are all working hard & taking every precaution to ensure our continued health and safety. Stay tuned.”
“We got some real goodies lined up for ya!”
Earlier this week, showrunner Eric Kripke shared another image from the third season of The Boys, tweeting a photo of a golden Homelander statue.

As well as the third season, Amazon has also ordered a spin-off show set in the world of The Boys.
According to Deadline, the spin-off will be set “at America’s only college exclusively for young adult superheroes,” run by Vought International, the evil behind-the-scenes power from the show.
The as-yet untitled show is described as “an irreverent, R-rated series” that will follow “the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities.”
Going by that description, the spin-off sounds a lot like the fourth volume of the original comic books, entitled ‘We Gotta Go Now’. That story focuses on the G-Men, The Boys’ take on the X-Men who so far have not been featured in the show.
