Very interesting.
The Dragonstone throne room must be a cheerier place this week after Dany finally struck back in her war against House Lannister. After losing allies in Dorne, Highgarden and the Iron Islands, Daenerys decided to unleash the dragon and she did so with fire and blood.
This being said, it appears that Cersei has a few tricks up her sleeve and as we’ve already seen, Dany’s bid to take the Iron Throne isn’t as easy as some people have imagined.
When it comes to playing the game of thrones, nobody is better than Cersi Lannister because while her enemies have all met their maker, she’ sitting on the Iron Throne with a glass of wine.
Deception, subterfuge and cruelty are her specialties.
As for Daenerys, she already has some doubts about the commitment of her most trusted advisers – mainly Varys and Tyrion – but an old prophecy from the second book in the ‘A Song of Ice and Fire ‘series, A Clash of Kings, could prove to be fatal for the Mother of Dragons.
When she had to retrieve her dragons from the House of Undying in Quarth, Dany was greeted with a series of visions and prophecies. Granted, the show did include some of these during an incredible montage but there’s one plot detail that the TV show hasn’t included and it involves treachery and deceit.
Dany is told “three treasons will you know, once for blood and once for gold and once for love.”

The general consensus is that Daenerys has suffered her “treason for blood” at the hand of the blood witch Mirri Maz Durr. In case you need a reminder, she’s the godswife that tried to heal Khal Drogo with blood magic and ultimately killed Daenerys’ unborn child.
Jorah Mormont’s decision to spy on Dany for Lord Varys and King Robert Baratheon is considered to be the “treason for gold”, but what about the final prediction in this prophecy?
Well, it appears that “the Queen’s most trusted advisor” is a strong contender- Missandei of Naath.
Despite the fact that she has consistently been loyal to Dany, people have predicted that her romance with Grey Worm might cause problems.  Redditor mfGlove observed that in the: “Last episode they emphasised Missandei’s love for Grey Worm while also stressing how he is trapped inside of Casterly Rock; doomed to starve. She was also questioned about her allegiance to Dany and how and why she chooses to follow her. It’s quite possible she betrays Dany for her love of Grey Worm.
Aside from this, it’s clear that Missandei is getting far more screen time this season. Davos asked her about her homeland, accent and questioned whether or not she’s free to leave Dragonstone. If Grey Worm was in jeopardy, where would Missandei’s loyalty and love lie?
There are other contenders to betray Daenerys  though.
Tyrion
Since they landed on Dragonstone, the Hand of the Queen has had a frayed relationship with Dany and as we saw in the trailer for next week’s episode, the youngest Lannister is conflicted.
We know that he loves Jaime, but could these feelings for his older brother ultimately harm Dany’s bid to take the Iron Throne? What would happen if Jaime was captured? Would Tyrion set him free , just like Jaime did for him?
Varys
Daenerys has already openly questioned The Spider’s motives, but will his love of the people prove to be fatal for Dany. As we’ve seen, The Mad King’s daughter is starting to embrace some of his traits. Could Varys intervene to protect the realm against the possibility of ‘The Mad Queen?’
Daario Naharis
An unlikely contender given the fact that he’s currently stationed in Meereen, but Cersei has mentioned that she’s hoping to recruit the mercenaries that work for The Golden Company. Highly unlikely, but he might fancy seeing his ex-girlfriend again and he probably won’t be too pleased to find out that she has been spending an awful lot of time with Jon Snow.
Jon Snow
As we’ve learned this season, Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow have both been declared the Prince Who Was Promised – the reincarnation of legendary hero Azor Ahai. According to the prophecy, the Prince (or Princess) is destined to “lead the people against a darkness” but in order to do so, they need a flaming sword called Lightbringer.
In the novels, Azor Ahai was forced to stab his wife with the blade to impart it (Lighbringer) with its full power. Could Jon be forced to kill his own aunt?
