Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow confirmed the film was written with a sequel in mind, admitting it contains subtle hints about the future of the franchise.
In an interview with Collider, Trevorrow – who is currently writing the script for the sequel alongside Jurassic World co-writer Derek Connolly – said the films are “not always gonna be about a Jurassic Park.”
We’re calling it now, the sequel is going to be named Jurassic Wars and will be about two armies using weaponised dinosaurs against each other which will then be followed up in 2020 with a Jurassic Park/Godzilla crossover.
