A cult-classic for all the wrong reasons.
If you’ve never seen The Room then two things. 1) You need to change that asap because it’s so awful that it’s perfect. 2)Â You’re tearing me apart, Lisa!
What’s it about? Well, the plot is completely irrelevant. Instead, the movie shines through its truly unforgettable scenes. Roughly speaking though, the picture revolves around a love triangle between Johnny, his missus Lisa and Tommy’s best friend, Mark.
That is all you need to know really, because Tommy Wiseau takes care of the rest.
What unfolds is some of the most horrendous acting, writing and overall filmmaking that you’ll ever see. People love it because it’s so bad. It’s a cinematic experience that’s unlike any other.
What makes The Room even more fascinating is the fact that it’s star, Tommy Wiseau, remains incredibly mysterious with nobody actually knowing his true identity, age or place of birth.
Perfect material for an adaptation then and that’s what we’re getting in The Disaster Artist, as James Franco aims to do justice to the worst film ever made and the man that defined it.
The film will also star Seth Rogen, Alison Brie and Zoey Deutch, with a whole host of celebrity cameos also expected.
The Disaster Artist is released on December 8th and fans will be saying one thing after seeing this trailer, Oh Hi Mark!
