The death of Motörhead frontman Lemmy was felt throughout the rock and roll world.
His memorial service was streamed live on YouTube for the world to pay their last respects, and some huge names were in attendance.
One of those, Dave Grohl, delivered a moving eulogy including a recollection of his first meeting with Lemmy.
“He’s my hero. He’s the one true rock and roller who bridged my love of AC/DC and Sabbath and Zeppelin with my love of GBH and The Ramones and Black Flag,” Grohl said.
Grohl also shared anecdotes about Lemmy meeting his family, and about some of the pair’s shared interests.
