What on Earth is going on?
WWE legend Kane is best known for choke-slamming people, feuding with his brother The Undertaker, and occasionally setting his opponents on fire.
But in August last year, the man behind the mask Glenn Jacobs was elected mayor of Knox County, Tennessee and is now a full-time politician.
On Friday, it was ‘Read Across America Day’ in Knox County, and Kane did his mayoral duty and went out and read to some kids at a local library.
Now, the idea of Kane reading you a story is weird – and terrifying – enough. But that wasn’t all. Jacobs even dressed up for the occasion. Now, thankfully, he didn’t put back on his familiar mask and flame-covered tight.
Instead, he dressed up as the title character from Dr Seuss’ The Cat In The Hat.
That….. that is really disturbing.

What is going on?
Jacobs even wrote his own Seuss-style rhyme to encourage people to attend.

Despite being 51 years of age, Kane’s last match was in November, at the controversial Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia, where he teamed with The Undertaker to take on Triple H and Sawn Michaels.
His wig and mask fell off at one point.

Kan is not the first wrestler to succeed in politics. 1980s WWE wrestler, commentator and Predator star Jesse Ventura served as governor of Minnesota from 1999 to 2003, before going on to host a TV show about conspiracies with June Sarpong (yes, really).
Attitude Era star Rhyno also ran for Michigan House of Representatives in 2016, but failed to get in office.
Best of all though is masked Japanese wrestler The Great Sasuke, who serves as Iwate Prefectural Assembly legislator in his homeland – unlike Kane, he kept his mask on while he was in office.
