It would appear that the world famous Big Mac is now considered small-time, and McDonald’s reckons it’s time to up the ante.
The fast good giant has responded to the bigger burgers offered by rival chains by unveiling two new sizes for its flagship meal.
In addition to the regular Big Mac, American customers in selected areas will now be able to choose from the Grand and the Mac Jr, depending on the size of their appetite (or hangover).

The Grand Mac weighs in at a whopping 890 calories, which is 350 more than the standard Big Mac, and is made with two beef patties weighing one sixth of a pound (lb) each. It will sell for $4.89 (£3.40).
The Mac Jr. is a single-layer Big Mac of a more lightweight 480 calories, and will cost between $2.39 and $2.59 (£1.70-£1.80).
If the trial period is successful, then the new sizes could be rolled out across the country – and hopefully the UK in due course.
McDonald’s also announced recently that they’re experimenting with the idea of all-you-can-eat french fries, so they clearly mean business. All we need now is bottomless McFlurries, and we’re laughing.
