The cheapest price for the Nintendo Switch
The news of the Nintendo Switch 2 was recently revealed by the tech brand, but if you’re after the original Switch model, then this is the cheapest place to buy it.
The original Nintendo Switch – in neon red and blue – is currently priced at £245 on Amazon. While the OLED model in white is priced at £265.49 on Amazon.
This means the original Switch is £12 cheaper than its launch price, and the OLED is £35 cheaper than its usual price.
So you can make a decent saving on the original Switch consoles if you’re not looking to buy the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2.
The main difference between a Nintendo Switch and a Nintendo Switch OLED is the screen technology, with the OLED having a larger, more vibrant screen and slightly more internal storage.
Nintendo confirmed details of the new model in January after much anticipation among fans, with a teaser trailer showing off a sleek new design including black controllers with splashes of colour.
The tech brand is expected to officially announce the new Switch 2 console during Nintendo Direct on 2 April, with official pre orders likely to open around the same time.
Nintendo will hold in-person events in cities around the world in the weeks after launch. The London date will be 11-13 April and will allow gamers to get their hands on the console and test it out.
Leaked information about the new Switch hints at a console with a larger screen and more processing power in order to play modern games.
It will also come with a host of new games including a new Mario Kart game that was confirmed during the announcement. Fans will also be able to play original Switch games on the console after Nintendo confirmed backward capacity.
