No release date has been confirmed
Three classic PlayStation 1 titles are coming to PlayStation Plus soon.
Fan of FromSoftware games such as Bloodborne and Elden Ring are definitely going to want to check out these new games.
It was revealed last night at Sony’s State of Play event that three of FromSoftware’s classic 90s titles will be landing on the service at some point in 2025.
The games in question are Armored Core, Armored Core: Project Phantasma and Armored Core: Master of Arena.
However, no official date for the release has been revealed, though it is assumed that they will be available soon given that there would be no reason for Sony to advertise them too far ahead of time.
Every game in the Armored Core series was developed by FromSoftware, with the first releasing on PS1 in July 1997.
The first game saw players taking on missions to earn money which could then be spent on upgrading their Armored Core mech unit.
The second installment was released just five months later and was designed to be a standalone expansion.
An Arena mode was was added along with the ability to load save data from the first Armored Core and carry it through to the Project Phantasma.
The third game, Armored Core: Master of Arena, was another expansion released in 1999, and was the last in the series to be released on the PS1.
After more than a decade on the sidelines, FromSoftware brought back the Armored Core series in 2023 with Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon, which was released on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Sony also confirmed a previous leak, announcing that PSP title Patapon 3 will be coming to the Classics Catalog next week.
