A certain election and a certain President-elect feature quite prominently.
Let’s face it, 2016 has been a bit of a shitty year.
So shitty has it been, in fact, that if we could re-write a lot of what happened in the last 12 months, we would do so in a heartbeat.
It won’t have had any actual effect apart from making the person(s) responsible feel a little better for a brief period, but it turns out thousands of people did attempt to rewrite history on Wikipedia, now generally accepted as the go-to page for pretty much everything.
The online encyclopaedia has issued a list of the 20 most-edited articles in the last year (see below) and apart from an apparent attempt to resurrect many of the great people we’ve lost in 2016, the US Presidential election was the issue that most people wanted to address and re-write in their own way.
It seems a lot of people were keen to edit the conversation about the poorly-received Batman v Superman movie from the summer as well; something, no doubt that would make poor Ben Affleck very sad.
