Cancel the spa weekend; a hotel entirely dedicated to gin is about to open in London and we’re already booking our trip.
It seems like 2016 is the year of gin – we’ve already seen the popularity of gin advent calendars and gin Christmas baubles soar and soar.
As an early Christmas present to women everywhere, The Distillery will open its doors at 186 Portobello Road on December 18 offering four floors of delights for grown-ups.
The hotel, a take on the Victorian gin palace, is the brainchild of Ged Feltham and Jake Burger, co-founders of Portobello Road Gin.
Inside visitors can indulge their love of the juniper-based drink in The Resting Room, where international spirits continue to age barrels suspended above the bar.
Afterwards, drop by the Ginstitute to find out how your top tipple is made, then wander around the museum to take in the full 300-year history behind your G&T and make up a unique blend to take home with you!
Dinner at GinTonica restaurant and bar is guaranteed to delight the senses with extravagantly garnished cocktails served in a traditional Copa de Balón and a menu of tonics to choose from.
At the end of the night you can sink into bed in bespoke lodgings; there’s three boutique hotels rooms with views of the market to choose from!
Rooms start at around €146 per night. Race ya there…
