His finest work yet.
Once upon a time Anthony Hopkins was spotted by the great Laurence Olivier whilst he was training to be an actor at the Royal Academy. The rest, as they say, is history, as Hopkins went on to become one of the finest actors of his generation after winning an Academy Award for his now most famous role, the nefarious Hannibal Lecter in The Silence of the Lambs.
Who would have thought, 50 years on from his film debut, he’d be able to give us his most important performance yet in this genre-defying video he uploaded to Twitter on Sunday evening?
In it he seems to be channeling the essence of the character that made him so famous, but this time, by bringing the vampiric serial killer into the millennial age, giving him an iPhone on selfie mode, blasting some uptempo salsa music and just letting loose, all with the expression of  somebody who has been in a 48 hour warehouse rave in downtown Berlin for at least 46 hours.
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you: Anthony Hopkins performing “Dad at a wedding”.
I give you Anthony Hopkins attempting to take a selfie whilst falling down the stairs.
I give you Anthony Hopkins stealing a precious jewel from a museum and then running away from the police like a cartoon character.
I give you Anthony Hopkins, well, wait and see…
