While they may share a common language, the political, cultural and social differences between North and South Korea are vast.
While people living in South Korea enjoy the perks that are available in almost every modernised country, the citizens of communist North Korea are the polar opposite.
As we all know, the Korean War left the country partitioned and the stark effects of that conflict can still be seen via the most basic of things, electricity.
This image was captured by NASA astronaut Scott Kelly and it’s truly remarkable.
