Here’s why ball games shouldn’t be played at weddings
This is the hilarious moment a bride playing a game of rounders at her wedding, almost ruined the honeymoon before it even began.
Blushing bride Sarah Chesterfield was playing the bat-and-ball game at the Carlyon Bay Hotel, in Saint Austell, Cornwall when she whacked the ball into her hubby’s family jewels.
The unfortunate incident was captured on video by Cornish videographer Grant Alexander on September 25.
In the video, Sarah is seen striking the ball before her husband, Matt Chesterfield, collected it in the groin and toppled over in agony.
But Sarah didn’t blink an eye, hiking her wedding gown up to run the field and complete the rounder as the crowd of family and friends watched on in hysterics.
The bride’s sister, Hailey MacDonald, shared the video TikTok where it has been viewed over 450,000 times.

She said: “My sister was adamant that we were all going to play rounders, so that’s what we did. The video shows the first throw from the groom.”
