A man in China was faced with easily the most awkward bedside encounter of all time after a car crash prompted a hospital visit from his girlfriends. All seventeen of them.
This foolhardy Chinese Casanova – known only as Mr Yuan – resides in the city of Changsa, Hunan Province and had reportedly been dating all 17 women at the same time and none of them knew of his secret. Amazingly, he even had a child to one of the women.
His elaborate web of womanising fell around his ears late last month after he was taken to hospital following a car accident.
Medics at the hospital contacted his ‘relatives’ and were surprised (to say the least) when 17 women arrived all claiming to be Mr Yuan’s lover – although we imagine none were quite as surprised as our polyamorous anti-hero.
Local media report that the ladies were pretty shocked themselves. One of the girlfriends, Xiao Li, said:
“I’ve been with him for a year and a half. [After hearing he’d been in an accident] I cried so hard I didn’t have any tears left.
“I was really worried when I heard that he was in hospital. But when I started seeing more and more beautiful girls show up, I couldn’t cry any more.”
One of his lovers set up a chat forum for all of the girls caught in Yuan’s deceit and discovered that some of them had been supporting him financially for nine years.
What a bastard.
It appears things are only getting worse for loverboy: reports suggest that police have launched an investigation into Yuan over allegations of fraud.
