If you hadn’t cottoned on, companies in 2016 are doing their absolute best to make it stupidly easy for you to buy their stuff.
You’ll remember that Domino’s recently made it possible to order a pizza using just an emoji, and now Amazon have launched their one-click Dash Buttons on our shores.
Available in the US for a while now, the Dash Button is a miniature, wi-fi enabled device that lets you order and re-order a product of your choosing with just a click of a button.
You can either buy the device and pair it with your favourite product, or pick up one of the pre-set branded buttons.
This is where it gets interesting. Household names such as Gillette, Huggies, Wilkinson and Listerine have already jumped on board with Amazon’s futuristic vision on online shopping, but the one that seems to be getting the most attention is Durex.
That’s right. From now on, anyone running low on condoms will be able to get a fresh batch dispatched from their Amazon account at just the click of a button.

One the one hand, having such a practical protection procedure in place is sort of admirable. But realistically is there a man or woman alive that actually gets through that many rubbers?
Who'd actually buy a Durex Amazon Dash button? They'd have to be bonkers. pic.twitter.com/LWmgkj0eX0

And then you have to consider where you’d actually keep the thing. Buried shamefully in your pocket, or hanging pride of place above the bed?

I'm sure there's nothing that'll please your girlfriend more than pushing that Amazon Dash Button for Durex after a session. Classy.

I can't think of anything more seductive (!) than an Amazon Dash button for Durex on your bedroom wall… pic.twitter.com/aTNgufwoNr

Today I am enjoying trying to imagine what kind of person would have an Amazon Dash button for Durex by their bed https://t.co/Hu6mJuILpx

And then there’s the really big question.
Amazon Prime members will be able to use their Dash Buttons in conjunction with the Unlimited One-Day delivery service, which is great. But when it comes to condoms, well, sometimes you might require one a bit faster.
That is, unless you’re a really great entertainer.

I wonder how quickly durex come with the Amazon dash button

All that said, we’re relatively okay with the one-button machines making our shopping that bit more lazy.
We also want to voice our approval of toy blaster company Nerf getting involved. Even if absolutely nobody requires an emergency supply of foam darts at their disposal, it’s good to know the kids are covered.

A Dash Button will set you back £4.99, but they’re essentially free after the first press, as users get the same price off their first order. Check out the full range here. Welcome to the future.
