A new study has found that Brits spend an average of almost three hours every day online. Three. F**king. Hours.
If you take out eight hours for sleep, that’s more than one in every six waking hours checking Facebook, watching Netflix, updating your fantasy league team and whatever else it is you do online (we’ll respect your privacy on that).
The UK average of two hours and 51 minutes was arrived at following a study from the Internet Advertising Bureau and the UK Online Measurement Company.
If it sounds like a lot of time to be spending on the internet, but if you’re struggling to quantify the figure, let us put it into context.
It’s the length of this year’s Wimbledon Men’s Singles final between Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer
It’s the running time of Avengers: Age of Ultron.
It’s roughly the amount of time Southampton have gone without conceding a Premier League goal.
Now stop reading this and go outside.
