We’ve been waiting for this since Back To The Future lied about 2015.
The time travel classic led everyone to believe that we’d be floating around on hoverboards instead of skateboards, bicycles and actual feet.
But no – all we have to show for three decades of technological advancement are those silly two-wheeled things that Mario Balotelli uses.
But now – thanks to a genius in Canada – an actual hoverboard has been invented.
Montreal inventor Catalin Alexandru Duru has broken the world record for the longest ‘hoverboard’ flight, by gliding 5 metres above a lake for a distance of 275.9 metres aboard his homemade, propeller-powered hoverboard.
He was airborne on the contraption for over 90 seconds, which…is a start.
The future is almost here lads. It’s time to put on your self-fastening trainers…
