Follow your dreams guys
A man has managed to land himself a television role after posting a TikTok video every day for 321 days pretending to be dead.
Kentucky man Josh Nalley posted videos to his TikTok account @living_dead_josh of him pretending to be dead with one dream – for a show would cast him as a corpse in one of their episodes.
Speaking to the Courier Journal, he explained that he had no acting experience but over time has honed his craft in how to portray a corpse thanks to plenty of practice.

He said: “I don’t like speaking on camera, but I can lie there and act like I am dead pretty easily.
“Having done more than 300 of these posts, I have progressed and gotten better. At first, you could see me breathing, or the fake blood looked really bad.
“I have gotten rid of using the blood and gotten better at holding my breath.”
Josh figured out that the key to a convincing corpse shot was for there to be some movement in the video so it didn’t just look like the photo.
His inspiration came from a woman who posted about hot sauce on TikTok, which led to her getting a load of offers from retailers.
This got him thinking – could he do the same thing about playing a dead body on TV?
And it turns out the answer is a resounding yes.

Despite his extensive practice as a corpse, it didn’t all go smoothly for Josh on set. wasn’t all plain.
He revealed that he accidentally blew one take by leaving his phone on and being called by a telemarketer whilst the camera was rolling.
And the offers are flying in now, with a number of other places asking him to play a dead body in their production.
Don’t worry, he’s staying true to his roots though, and still posts videos of himself pretending to be dead for his fans to enjoy.
So keep an eye out the next time you’re watching a crime or medical show – you may just spot Josh.
