Move quickly, before everyone else gets it booked
Does your annual holiday never quite feel enough? Do you find your holidays breeze by, leaving you disappointed and sunburnt when returning to work? Well, TikTok user Graham David (@Grahamdavid) has got you covered.
In his video, David breaks down the best ways to use up your holiday at work, maximising the time you get off. This neat little hack is only successful if you work Monday to Friday, so, unfortunately, hospitality and retail workers have drawn the short straw.
Bank holidays are most people’s best friends, and by situating your holiday around them, you can get more time off while using less of your annual leave.
Friday the 15th of April is a bank holiday in honour of Good Friday, the following Monday for Easter Monday. So, if you take your time off from Tuesday the 19th all the way to Friday the 22nd, then you essentially get ten days off.
Similarly, at the end of May, you can get a consecutive nine days off thanks to the Queens anniversary as a monarch. Next year, if you use your leave correctly, you can get 27 days off while only using ten days of your holiday allowance.
In theory, the world should have returned to normal by then, so pack your bags for ten days in your favourite sunny spot. Ibiza, here we come!
