Men and women reveal the reasons they wouldn’t go on a second date with someone

It's the wild west out there.

The dating world can be tough…

We’ve heard of a new dating (or rather non-dating) trend in recent times called stashing which has been ruining romances in recent times.

The chances are, you or someone you know have been ghosted in a relationship at some stage. Ghosting involves suddenly ceasing all communication with the person you’ve been seeing and ending the relationship that way.

This is done in the hope that the person will just get the hint and leave them alone.

But, some people have difficulty in even getting to this point…

Chin up, we’re here to help you, not make you feel bad about your love life. A survey of 1,000 men and women by Dr. Ed has revealed the main reasons that men and women don’t go on a second date with a potential partner.

Unsurprisingly, 84% of women and 74% of men would say no to a second date if their date had poor hygiene. If you’re going on a date, have a shower you filthy animal.

But, it turns out, you should be good craic as well, as 84% of women and 32% of men said a terrible sense of humour was a deal breaker.

Another no-no (we can’t believe we even have to write this), is checking out someone else on the first date according to 73% of women and 62% of men.

But we’re not all doom and gloom and we’re not just going to tell you what you shouldn’t do, we’ll also give you some of the reasons why people decide to go on a second date as well.

If you’ve a great sense of humour, both sexes say they’re more than likely going to go on a second date with you.

But one of the most important things about the date, is for you to be interested in the other person. We don’t just mean interested in their looks. One of the things people like most about a date is that they’re interested in their views, their personal life and their work.
