Sound.
Are you a recent graduate of some sort of media-related degree?
Are you currently looking for a job that entails communications, organisation, and a bit of travel with the Royal Family?
Are you struggling to find work in an economic climate that is making it increasingly difficult for lots of people to get a foot in the door, start their career, and actually make some money so they can stop scrimping off their parents and finally move into the overpriced house share of their dreams?
Of course you are.
The role involves everything from content creation to article writing to researching to organising events to press announcements.
The successful candidate will even get to travel overseas to support the odd royal engagement.
Sounds decent enough like.
The job application reads:
“You’ll organise coverage of set-piece Palace engagements including investitures and garden parties, and provide support as required for off-site engagements.
Although based primarily at Buckingham Palace, you’ll also travel in the UK or overseas to support important visits and engagements.
Whether covering a state visit, award ceremony or Royal engagement, you’ll make sure our communications consistently spark interest and reach a range of audiences.”
Offering a starting salary of £22,000, the royal household says they’re looking for someone who’s enthusiastic, knows a good bit about current affairs, has a good energy about them, and possesses a decent set of writing skills.
The contract runs from April 2018 to April 2019 too so there’s a fairly good chance whoever gets this job will be doing quite a bit of work in and around Meghan and Harry’s wedding.
So, know anyone currently on the hunt for a job?
