The brave British stuntwoman Olivia Jackson has revealed how she is going to lose her left arm.
Jackson, 34, who worked on the latest Star Wars film, is due to undergo surgery after crashing into a metal camera arm while shooting a high-speed motorcycle chase for Resident Evil: The Final Chapter.
As well as a punctured lung and head and facial injuries, Jackson, from Buckinghamshire, has revealed on her Facebook page: “My left arm is paralysed and is going to have to be amputated.
“I still hv a couple meetings left, & a few complex operations to go for my nerve trauma, but hopefully 1 of the nerves can be operated on and saved to maybe regain some shoulder function a couple years down the line.
“My walking has improved to the standard of a 2 yr old toddler haha, and other than that I’m just trying to get through day by day with the excruciating nerve pain #morphineisking.”
In order to help Olivia through her recovery, a GoFund charity page has been set up, for Olivia’s message and to help, visit: https://www.gofundme.com/UNITED49
Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, which stars Milla Jovovich is expected to be released in September 2016.
Thoughts are with Olivia Jackson. The toughest, best, bravest stunt woman out there. What an inspiration.
