Analysts at dating app Hinge have researched a number one-liners that supposedly really work when attempting to woo other human beings.
They created loads of different lines and discovered that higher engagement messages like “two truths and a lie; ready, set, go” were more likely to get a reply than shorter attempts at friendly foreplay.
Just saying words like “hey” or “hi” were not as successful… no matter how high you can arch those eyebrows.
The test took place among US users of the app and, in terms of gender, Hinge reported that men were more 98% likely to respond to a confident, assertive message, while women were 40% more likely to answer messages about food.
