You can’t remember how this all started.
One moment you were chatting about this and that, then the next thing you know it’s two hours later, you’re stood on a chair, shouting at the top of voice about fish.
We have, and this is one of the few times that this can legitimately be said, all been there: the nonsense argument that got out of hand and completely out of control. It started so innocently, and now it could very well end in a sword fight.
Here we have a prime example of it. Two men arguing about something so pointless, so inconsequential, yet you can’t help but take a side. You can’t help but have an opinion. You can’t help but get dragged into the sorry mess.
The question: when a fish is submerged in water, is it wet?
When you first hear it, you think, “Well duh, of course they’re wet.” But then the counter-argument is made, and you think, “Oh, actually… he might have a point.” But then the counter-counter-argument is made, and you think, “Fuck this, fish are wet!”
