TikTok star Ed Matthews has claimed that ‘fat girls’ are funnier than ‘pretty girls’ because they’ve “got to make up for it somehow.”
In a conversation with Stand Out TV, Matthews was asked whether men and women can be friends, to which he replied ‘yes.’
Explaining his answer, he said that he “knows some fat tings who are funny as f**k” and that he would therefore be friends with them, because “most pretty girls are boring.”
He added: “These girls have personality, they gotta make up for it [their weight] somehow.”
When he was challenged over his comments by the host, who took objection to his use of the term ‘fat ting’, he responded: “You need to fat shame once in a while.”
Matthews doubled down on this, insisting that “people’s minds are twisted.”
He continued: “If this girl is fat as f**k and she don’t think it, tell her she needs to lose weight. Sometimes fat shaming’s alright.
The host then rightly labelled him “really, really disgusting.”

Matthews has become one of the biggest names on TikTok, famous for his beef over TikTok and Instagram with OnlyFans star Astrid Wett, Cal The Dragon and Simon Colbran a.k.a. Simple Simon.
Ed first clashed with Cal The Dragon, 21, over a TikTok which saw Ed meet Astrid Wett at a rave and described him to be “dropping game”.
Cal The Dragon was added to the mix when Ed tagged him in an Instagram story which showed a picture of him and Astrid, 21, and said: “@Callum_The_Dragon_Official ur girl is tryna hold the wood.”
Cal responded with a video on Tiktok saying: “Astrid and Ed, now I see what you’re on about.”
The saga culminated this summer when Matthews took on Simple Simon in a boxing fight at the O2, leaving Simon on the floor after 48 seconds.
Simple Simon is a 52-year-old football coach and social media star who went viral after his spat with Cal The Dragon on TikTok live.
The infamous video saw Simple Simon calling Cal The Dragon “a melt”, while Cal rebuked by calling Colbran “an overrated t****r”.
