The London burger craze has had its day – now it’s all about kebabs, according to one new festival.
Abra Kebabra, a self-styled (and wonderfully monikered) ‘kebab cookoff’, will see five of the capital’s top chefs and restaurants compete in what has been described by organisers as “a celebration of the late night staple”.
Tickets cost £25 and include five kebabs and a Turkish mojito. We’re not entirely sure what that entails, but that doesn’t mean we’re not excited.
You can be sure that this won’t be your run-of-the-mill late-night fast food offering. You doner need to worry about anything when these shish-hot chefs are involved.
Involving @frontlinechef @ccDISCOBISTRO @BERBERANDQ @Lucky_Chip & Mangal 1 (the unfunny one) it's going to MEGA! pic.twitter.com/psapk2AItB

Abra Kebabra will be held at the MC Motors warehouse in East London on August 1.
Hopefully the weather will be alright on the day – no one wants to have to deal with grillers in the mist.
