Now, following a ruling from a helpful New York judge, it may even be possible to end your marriage on the social network too.
NY Daily News report that following her 2009 marriage, Ellanora Baidoo found marital relations with her husband, Victor Sena Blood-Dzraku, far from ideal.
The pair were hardly in contact after their big day, only communicating via the phone or Facebook Messenger.
After she was given the nod to serve her husband with divorce papers, the unhappy wife ran into difficulties when her other half refused to be involved in the divorce procedure.
As a last resort, the New York judge gave Baidoo special permission to serve the divorce papers over Facebook.
However, before anyone gets any ideas, it does appear that this is (for now at least) a one-off…
