David Beckham has sent a message of support to a terminally ill Manchester United supporter.
The former England captain recorded a short message to 19-year-old Chloe Hopkins, who suffers from Cystic Fibrosis.
Chloe has been on the list for a double lung transplant since last July and has set up a Go Fund Me campaign, Chloe’s Journey to Lung Transplant, where she has also shared her bucket list.

Speaking to Manchester Evening News Chloe said: “It still scares me to think about how limited my life is, but it is something I have had to come to terms with. Children in school used to call me Frankenstein because of the drains and plugs going into my body – but for me it was in one ear and out the other.
“Even if I have the transplant, it won’t save my life. It will only prolong it. But I am determined to live whilst I’m still alive, not just sit around waiting for a call that may never come, which is why I have created a bucket list.”
Beckham’s video message comes in the same week that he surprised a paramedic and a patient with a cup of tea and a coffee while the pair waited for an ambulance on a London street.
