It’s an alligator-eat-alligator world out there.
A morning stroll in Britain, if you’re lucky, might throw in the odd duck sighting. If it’s an extra special day you could be mooed at by a cow. It’s a very different story in Florida, though, as evidenced by Alex Figueroa’s incredible video.
He was taking a walk in the Sunshine State’s Circle B Bar Reserve when he spotted an 11ft alligator chowing down on another not-exactly-small gator in the water. The amazing clip then cuts to the gigantic creature continuing its breakfast on the footpath.
Alligator cannibalism isn’t unusual in itself, especially in males, but a close-up video like this is pretty rare. Attenborough would be proud.
