Fair play to the boys and girls in blue, this isn’t half bad.
The London Metropolitan Police were the latest challengers to the #RunningManChallenge – a new viral phenomenon where people upload a video of them doing the classic dance before nominating their mates.
The dance craze was started by the New Zealand police force as an fun recruitment drive and now police from around the world are joining in on the fun.
Here’s London Metropolitan Police’s effort.
(The riot copper in the middle has the moves tbh.)
How did they end up here? Why they were nominated by police in Scotland.
Police Scotland’s assistant chief constable Mark Williams said, “Our officers are ‘on the beat’ every day and ‘in step’ with their local communities and I think we’ve well and truly shown the NYPD how it’s done – as well as prove our officers have a sense of humour.
“On a more serious note, it’s fantastic to see the camaraderie between forces around the world and it clearly highlights the power of social media in engaging with our communities.”
Do you think Scotland beat the New York police? What the video and let us know.
Every police force is getting on the fun.
Racked up, the #RunningManChallenge has earned police offers around the world well over 15 million views. Not bad for a bit of fun from some coppers in New Zealand eh?
We just hope INOJ is getting some sweet royalty money for her banger of a track “I want to be your lady baby” getting all this rotation.
