It wasn’t me!
The more I think about it the more I realise that Shaggy’s 2000 hit is the perfect song to soundtrack Donald Trump’s controversial presidency.
Hit with all kinds of accusations since being inaugurated in January 2107, accusations he either claims are “fake news” or blames everyone else for, instead of using “no comment” as a response to them, “it wasn’t me” really would be the perfect rebuttal for him.
So seeing Shaggy rework his smash hit, with the help of James Corden, taking aim at Donald Trump and Robert Mueller’s investigation into him, is pure comedy gold.
James Corden portrays Mueller while Shaggy plays Donald Trump and spits lines like:
“I should have never fired James Comey last summer/ Pundits call me dumb and wanna make me look dumber/ I blame Hilary, boy I really outdone her.”
Watch the video below and brace yourself for impact because it’s hilarious.
Robert S. Mueller III’s highly publicised investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential election and possible links to the Trump campaign, as well as whether the president has sought to obstruct justice, continues and is one of the most talked about political topics right now.
With Trump continuing to protest his innocence, Twitter is still his chosen outlet to inform the world that he feels he’s being victimised:
Why does the Mueller team have 13 hardened Democrats, some big Crooked Hillary supporters, and Zero Republicans? Another Dem recently added…does anyone think this is fair? And yet, there is NO COLLUSION!

The Mueller probe should never have been started in that there was no collusion and there was no crime. It was based on fraudulent activities and a Fake Dossier paid for by Crooked Hillary and the DNC, and improperly used in FISA COURT for surveillance of my campaign. WITCH HUNT!
