Welcome back Ye
When Kanye West left Twitter the nation went into a state of shock and grief. Jeremy Corbyn probably called for a national holiday – the sort of heavyweight issue he likes to weigh in on.
Well, anyway, mourn no longer. Kanye reactivated his account in the early hours of Saturday, seemingly only to rinse Nike.
Sharing a screenshot of an article headlined ‘Nike’s reworked Monarch sneaker drops next month’ West wrote: “YEEZY 700 VIBES” with a string of mocking emojis.
The tweet racked up more than 10,000 retweets but was quickly deleted.
Now all that’s left on Kanye’s account is a retweet of Twitter founder Jack Dorsey, who welcomed the rapper back to his social media platform.

Kanye only follows his wife Kim Kardashian on the account.
Having previously been noted for disjointed but powerful outbursts on Twitter, West deactivated his profile, as well as his Instagram, just under a year ago in May 2017.
