Being President is a tough job, so even Donald Trump needs to kick back and relax… whether there’s a crisis going on or not.
But anyway, enough about the anti-Muslim executive orders and mass protests going on around the world; it’s time for The Donald to chill out with a movie.
It’s been well-documented that one of Trump’s favourite movies is the 1998 martial arts classic Bloodsport starring Jean-Claude Van Dame, but that perhaps wouldn’t be appropriate for a White House movie night.
Instead, the President held a screening of the recent Pixar movie Finding Dory.
It’s a great movie, perfect to watch with his 10-year-old son Barron, but when the world is in a state of fear and fury over an executive order banning immigrants and refugees from predominantly Muslim countries, is it really time for a film?
As Muslim Ban protests erupt nationwide and outside White House, Trump holds private screening of "Finding Dory." Not joking.

As concerned citizens, attorneys & media raced to airports, Trump watched "Finding Dory." Confirmed: we have 5 yr. old running the country!

But quite apart from the fact that the Leader of the Free (and Very Pissed Off) World was fannying around hosting movie night when legal US residents were being detained at airports and kept from their loved ones because of their origin of birth, there was a dash of irony in the choice of Finding Dory that perhaps wasn’t evident to Trump and his team.

Finding Dory is mostly about a family reuniting across a border that wouldn't be blocked by a wall

At 3pm, Trump is hosting a screening of Finding Dory, a movie about what happens when you're separated from your family.
Let that sink in.

The irony of Trump WH watching "Finding Dory" (a tale of trying to reunite w/family when a massive structure is in the way) is…beyond.

Even the actor who voiced Marlin, Nemo’s dad, weighed in on the situation.
Odd that Trump is watching Finding Dory today, a movie about reuniting with family when he's preventing it in real life.

Perhaps Bloodsport would have been a more appropriate choice of film. Give it a few more years in office and we’re sure it will be.
