Detectives are appealing for witnesses following the fatal stabbing of a man in Islington
A man was stabbed to death in broad daylight in north London on Monday, becoming the 67th person to be killed in the capital this year and the 42nd victim of a fatal stabbing.
The assault happened at approximately 6.30pm on Monday, May 21 on Upper Street, Islington.
Police and the London Ambulance Service were called to reports of a man having been stabbed.

They attended and found a man with multiple stab wounds. Despite attempts to save him he was pronounced dead at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed.
Local business owner Gregory Barry said he saw the incident via his CCTV camera.
He told Press Association: “There were two blokes in a van, it pulled up on the street.
“It looked like there was an altercation and the fight carried on outside the van.”

The 66th victim this year came as a man in his 20s was fatally stabbed in southwest London. Over half of the suspected homicides in London this year have been knife attacks.
Mayor of London Sadiq Khan tweeted: “I remain in close contact with @metpoliceuk, the local MP and Leader of the Council following a fatal stabbing in Islington this evening.
“This is being investigated by officers and my thoughts are with the victim’s family.”
The victim is believed to be a 30-year-old man from Haringey, but formal identification awaits.
A post-mortem examination will be held in due course.
Officers are conducting active enquiries to find the person responsible.
A number of forensic scenes remain in place.
Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are leading the investigation.
Detective Chief Inspector Dave Whellams, said: “This was a brutal attack that was carried out on a busy street in broad daylight. I am asking anyone who saw the assault or has any information to contact detectives.
“In particular we would like to hear from anyone who was driving in the area around this time and has dash-cam footage. Your information could be vital in helping us find out why a young man lost his life.”
